Can anyone become a prophetic dreamer?

Are dreamers such as Jacob, Joseph and Daniel of the Bible, chosen to be prophetic dreamers?

Can anyone be a prophetic dreamer?

According to the Bible, God is not a respecter of persons, so this would imply that all are capable of becoming prophetic dreamers. This does not mean that there were NOT specially chosen dreamers, especially in the Old Testament, that have been used for specific tasks. 

The Old Testament is full of those who were chosen for many things. However, today, as more spiritual beings, we are able to give ourselves to many tasks and services.

If one is willing to be used for service to others, and subsequently offers their life as a service and asks for the gifts from the Creator, then it is my belief that they will be used when they are ready.

Everyone dreams.

The problem is determining if a dream is actually a sign, omen or vision.

Some dreams are just the subconscious mind's way of dealing with stress and the garbage that goes into the mind on a daily basis.

Some dreams can be interpreted, but usually the interpretation applies only to the dreamer. There are many books written on the symbolic images used in dreams and how to interpret them.

For instance, if you dream of death or a death, or even your own death, it does not necessarily mean that you are going to die. It simply means that something is coming to an end in your life - it will die. It could be a relationship, a job, an attitude, or possibly the location of your home.

This is not to be mourned, because when something ends, something new begins - with a fresh start.

And that's a good thing!

Jacob saw angels ascending and descending into heaven, and then God spoke to him. "I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and to your descendants; and your descendants shall be like the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south; and by you and your descendants shall all the families of the earth bless themselves. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done that of which I have spoken to you."
